Free Disk Imaging Software

I have just learned of a freeware disk imager Drive Image XML, published by Runtime Software. This thing works.

But as it is freeware, it has very little support. It requires that you make your own boot CD using the freeware Bart PE. This is necessary to run the restoration. The hole in the program is that you have to a full copy of Windows XP SP1 or SP2 SLIPSTREAMED, as it needs the slipstream files to create the booting CD.

If you have that, this thing works just fine and the price is right.
