Quick XP SP Question

Hey guys...

I've got a WinXP Pro system here with no service packs installed...can I go straight to SP2 or do I need to install SP1 first? This is the first computer I've worked on that didn't have any SP at all. They're about to have cable internet and I don't want to leave them wide open.

Thanks!
MIke

No SP 2 is cumulative. SP 1 does not need to be install first.

Indeed. SP 2 is cumulative, hence the giant download Altho I wouldn't rely solely on the Windows Firewall if you're worried. It does a decent job but a more dedicated app might do a better job.

I have Windows Firewall and am behind a router, I think as long as you are behind a properly configured router you don't have that much to fear. Naturally, since Windows Firewall doesn't restrict outbounf traffic it's not the best firewall on the market.
