TV2000/Deluxe--how to get s-video in to work???

I have a Winfast TV2000 deluxe capture card....which I have used before to capture video using the RF in jack

now I have a digital video camera with s-video out......but I cant get the video to show on the winfast app....I have tried the input selector set to "s-video" but still nothing

The camera is a Sony Digital HandyCam ..... DCR-TRV740......should it just be putting out the s-video on the jack all the time?? I dont see anything on it to click or change.....I have it on "VCR" and I can see the video playing thru the viewer but either it is not going out on the s-vid jack or the TV2000 is not picking it up



any ideas??

hehe....it works fine on RF mode....so I have had to tape the video to a vcr, then hook the vcr up to the TV2000 thru the RF jack, lol....REALLLLYY getting the digital quality that way, lol

still want to figure out the s-vid jacks though

JP, I have a Digital 8 camcorder too. Do yourself a huge favor and capture via the firewire port. The quality of the capture is SOOOO much better! Beside not having to suffer through the digital to analog to digital conversion, you also have control of the camcorder from the capture software (provided the software and camcorder support it).

Back to your original question... does the s-vid output work when hooked up to a regular TV? Have you tried connecting via the composite input?
