| Help:New Adminstrator Account!
Hi all!
I am using WinXP pro sp2,,now I already have 1 account which everyone uses at home,,but I want to create another account Adminstrator (new one) which I know how to make,,,but after I make the new Adminstrator account,it shows everything as when I install new windows XP,,
Please tell me how do I get all the stuff installed in the old account to the NEW Adminstrator account,,is there anything like migration or Do I have to install everything again in the new Adminstrator account!
I have to make a Password protected Adminstr Accont, I have had it with my brother, he keeps installing KeyLogger and stuff like that.
Thnks! |

It is a new profile, so things like your desktop and favorites/bookmarks will have to be copied over. |

ironforge is right, you can copy the shortcuts from the original profile over to your new admin one. The profiles are located on your C: drive under the Documents and Settings folder. Also make sure that once you are there, in the windows explorer window you go to tools -> Folder Options and then click on the view tab. find the little box that says view hidden files and folders. check that so that you can see everything.
Have Fun!

A keylogger? On purpose or by mistake?
For what blubomber said, go to C: -> Documents and Settings -> *your user* -> start menu and carry on into there, copy the programs you need on the start menu for both users into the "all users" (in documents and settings folder) start menu and do the same with your desktop if you need too(c: -> documents and settings -> *your user* and desktop. just copy them into all users desktop folder.
