Can someone recommend a (possibly free) utility that will convert a pdf file to jgp format at a decent resolution? |

Or just use Acrobat's snapshot facility. |

My need is to get from a CAD drawing to a format that can be pasted into a Word document. Presently, I save the drawing as a high resolution (600 dpi or higher) pdf and then take a screen shot. The quality is not so good for technical specs. Jaggies, etc.
The Zan Image Printer sounds like what I am looking for. I'll give it a try.
Thanks for the help. |

can you take a screen shot with your resolution (screen) up alot higher like 1600x1200, if your monitor supports it? I would think that would be a better quality snapshot

Frankly, you're better off keeping it a PDF. They support very high resolutions and everyone has the reader.
Word doesn't support huge graphics files, so it's of little use for detailed pics. I would switch to all PDF for your correspondence. |

One question; why are you using JPEG? I find PNG to be higher quality yet smaller file size. |
