Unable to use BOLD feature in Microsoft Word........

DELL Optiplex 620 with the 64bit Intel CPU package. Running Microsoft Office 2003 PRO. I cannot figure out why the BOLD feature doesn't function when you highlight the text and press BOLD. First I thought it was just some sort of odd problem at the time the user was running Word 2000. I upgraded the version to Word 2003 and the same problem now again. I have search microsoft site but haven't been able to find information so if you have ANY insight on this it would be great.

Does it work by pressing 'Ctrl' and 'B' or by typing the text inside of asterisks??

ie *bold text*

Otherwise, you might have to try uninstalling it completely and reinstalling maybe...
