| Windows XP Backup
I am a Dell customer and very frustrated at that. I am trying to backup my computer and come to find out that I dont know how to do just that. I do not have anything as far as an icon or shortcut in the start menu, accessories and then system tools. I tried talking to Dell and well, you know how difficult it is. Please advise! |

Where how do you want to back up disks other partition? External HD? Do you have third party backup software? I will post a link to add backup utility to XP.

My harddrive is going bad (it started to give me smart status BAD, still working but myt system seems to reset alot, and I suspect its the drive). I purchased a new hard drive (same size same manufacturer, western digital). My system is an HP m1082n. It has a recovery partition, which means that the western digital software does not work. Sadly enough, the recovery disks I made don't seem to work (disk 2 gets rejected) and HP send me the wrong CD's(these disks are not for this HP model). Any suggestions? I just want to replace my hard drive with an exact copy of my old one. |

"Thread Crapping" occurs when a person comes into a thread and posts something contrary to the spirit/intent of the thread, often derailing the discussion or turning it into an argument.... same as trolling
I fail to see where he was crapping.Sure he should have started a new thread.
Seeing his post count??? He has 1 post, come on. You probably scared him away with your lecturing.
