The machine is windows xp with service pack 2. It seems to happen mainly in windows explorer. The lady that uses the computer likes to use the hotkeys cntrl c/v and the edit drop down menu to copy and paste. When she does this it will not work at all. However it seems when she uses the mouse by right clicking to copy and paste it seems to work fine. The odd thing is though if she uses one of the first two methods first and then goes back and tries to copy and paste with the mouse it will not work either. It's like it's not copying it to the clipboard.
Here's what I've tried to fix the problem. Reinstalled service pack 2. Set the RPC Locator to start automatically and turned it on, recreated her a new user profile and ran a file system checker. The reason I created her a new profile is that it will work if I sign in under my domain admin account. I thought that might have pointed to a profile problem, but making her a new one didn't work. She herself has admin rights not that any of that should matter, just trying to let you guys no everything. Short of redoing her harddrive I'm just not sure what else to do. Oh yeah it seemed to quit working after I uninstalled a piece of software called PGP. Any ideas?
