My firefox, the latest version has disapeared ! Task manager can't see it but Sygate personal firewall sees it as a working application, it appears 3 times as firefox. exe
I updated it and it disappeared, even firefox safe mode does not appear to be visable.
I have uninstalled it, deleted the leftover folder in programs and downloaded the latest version and re-installed it. Still no joy.
Any suggestions ?
I'm using Opera right now and am getting used to it, it just doesn't seem to have the bookmark sidebar which is a pain but it seems to be fairly nice otherwise |

Hm. I'm pretty sure there is a way you can set up Opera so the bookmarks load in the sidebar, though I'm not sure how as I don't care for that kind of system.
There must be some registry settings leftover when you uninstall. Are you sure you deleted everything from your Application Data folder? |

I did this in case one of the add-ons I had installed was causing a conflict.
As for the registry settings I am kinda scared of altering the registry because of some bad experiences as a complete noob that lead to a loss of everything and a re-install of winders |

Look in C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox. See if there's anything in that area leftover. You might have to show hidden files in your explorer view. |
