Partition Magic HELP!!!

I've recently installed PM on my laptop PC and would like to make a new partition on my HDD. I used the program to make a new partition and was prompted to reboot my pc. Then, I saw a blue screen stating the processes of resizing harddisk and work completed .... Then, I fell asleep

When I woke up, I found that my pc couldn't log on to windows. Before I could see the "welcome" screen, my pc rebooted. Then I was prompted a screen with options such as safe mode, safe mode with xxx, normal, last best config, etc. I've tried every single option but they didn't work out.

I'm a complete noob in partitioning. What is the problem? How should I solve it?
