Well, I'm not a big windows fan, but since it'll be cheaper than XP, I like it more than XP.
If only there was a Linnux that can play games.
And Welcome to TechIMO |

The beta 2 public release is overly bloated with nonsense and is a huge memory hog. The popup nags for user security are annoying. Understand the latest build is much improved.
Does have some nice desktop backgrounds though.

Wow, the Beta2 I tried used like 20-30% cpu, and almost half my Ram just idling..
Athlon 64 3200+
1gb memory
160gb SATA
6600GT 128mb
Soooo, I'm not too impressed so far. I DO, however, admit that the graphical interface is pretty sweet-looking.

So far so good with Vista 5384, i can't wait to see the real version next year. I'll be getting it as soon as i can.
This beta 2 build is not the real thing yet but i like it anyway. On my Inspiron 6300 there was a BSOD once with the drivers for the modem but since i reinstalled it there was no more of this blue screen.
What i don't like is that bcdedit.exe that you need to run commands to work with but there is a nice tool available and it's here: http://www.pro-networks.org/vistabootpro/index.php. I would like to see the old boot.ini, easier to work with. There is also 51 icons in the Control Panel and some of them are useless and for now i'm using AVG, Ad Aware and Spybot to protect my computer.
I have Vista in Dual Boot with XP Pro since the release of the public version and having fun with it so i guess that i can say Youppi |
