| Trashed my Windows install trying to install Kubuntu
Well guys, I trashed it.
I was trying to install Kubuntu 6, but it locked up on me while it was installing(73% copying files I think it was at).
Anyways now I can't boot to windows...
First it said NT something or another wasn't found. So I went to the XP recovery console and ran FIXBOOT. But after that when I tried to boot again it said I had corrupt files and couldn't boot.
Then I did a CHKDSK from the recovery console, and it found a few errors.
Any idea what to do next? I would like to get Kubuntu(its pretty nice if I could get my duals setup) installed again. But I might have a bad disk or something, because I tried installing it again and it locked up at 73%.
I will try installing Kubuntu once again, but I doubt it will work. And I don't know what to do with my XP partion. Luckly I backed most of my importiant data to my secondary hdd(hopefully that didn't get touched by Kubuntu. It shouldn't have, but I don't think it should have done this either). But I still have a few things on there I would like to get. |
