Hi,
I am looking for a backup application that I can use accross the network in my small office to backup approx 6 key folders.
We are using 4 machines here, 3 are XP Machines and 1 is a Win 2k Machine.
Up to now I have been burning the key folders onto DVD's approx once a month and now I have installed an extra 250 Gb SATA Drive into the 2K Machine that I want to use as the Backup Storage Drive.
I came across a program called Second Copy 2000, has anyone had any experience with this or other similar programs. I would ideally like some thing that will run in the background with little or no user input once it is setup and running.
Thanks in advance.

I use Iomega Quiksyc 3, It's on the disc that comes with Zip drives.
I haven't used a lot of backup programs other than the ones that come with windows, but it is the easiest and most dependable I have used. |

I'm using Synctoy for Windows XP. Although it doesn't have a way to set up a schedule, it can update incrementally so it's very fast. It's great for home use. |

Hey, right were gona keep this nice and simple "most people like things simple" Right, you have a Harddrive and you want to back up your files, back up the files you want to back up, leave your backup harddrive unpluged "this involves pluging and unpluging a harddrive" when you want to back up stuff just plug it in,when your finnished. "unplug it" "recomended you buy an external harddrive" so if your computer ever crashes, a bug got into your system youl normaly reinstall windows formating the harddrive etc, if this harddrive is unpluged you wont loose anything, hope this helps. I suppose if you leave the computer unplugged you won't loose anything in the main drive either. |

Hello,
I've used Norton Go Back for years, and I've had no problems backing up to another hard drive, or CD/DVD. It runs in dos, so 100 percent of your files are being copied (no locked files). Hope that this helped.
Take Care
