c0000135 error in Dell Dimension
I was recently given a Dell Dimension computer which will not boot up. All I get is a black screen which says error: c0000135, winsrv component not found. Any suggestions?

I found this on the Microsoft website. Try it and see if it won't solve the problem for you.

it the above link doesnt help you out or it seems like a lost cause why not just format and reinstall windows? Or is this a computer for somone else that has information that you cant loose?

c0000135 error
Thank you to all who replyied to my post regarding the Dell Dimension pc. After further reviewing the Dell diagnostics tests I discovered that the hard drive was bad. I have since replaced the drive, reloaded the OS, and am catching up on patches. Again, thank you for the advice.
