Shared files in downloading folder of Firefox

Hi all,
I don't know if anyone notices this problem and has the solution for this.
I am using Firefox beta 2 (but it happens to me last time with Firefox 1.5 -> 1.5.0.7 as well). My default downloading folder for Firefox is called ABC, and I share that folder over my LAN. People can access to my shared folder ABC without problem, and they can read/execute "most" of the files in there. But if any files are downloaded by Firefox using the its own download manager, computers in LAN can not read/execute it. If the files are downloaded by other download manager such as Flashget or Free Download Manager, then there is no problem.
So does anyone know the solution for this? I also checked the shared permission of the files downloaded by Firefox in advanced mode, and noticed that the user Everybody is not there (which should be because of inheriting from the folder).
When I used Win XP SP2 with Firefox beta 2, people can see the files, but can not read/execute. And now I am using Win Vista RC1 with Firefox beta 2, people can not even see the files...

Any helps or explanation are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Oyster.

I believe files created in a folder do not inherit the folders permissions, they inherit that of the default file mask if no permissions are specified by the creator. Either that or Firefox is ignoring the defaults and setting it differently.

If you want to force that folder to override permissions, maybe this will help.
Properties -> Security -> Advanced
Try checking the box
"Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects"

Thanks for your help, Jkrohn. I can do that in Windows XP, but how about Windows Vista? That check box is not available in Windows Vista...
