being that im not a complete ass I tried that alread, and the path was static and couldn't be changed.
I know at work on my 2000 OS it is as simple as the right click > properties and entering a new path... but XP didn't work that way.Si vis pacem, para bellum

Right click > properties > Use the find target button. That's what I did to move My Documents to my D: drive. (after moving the folder in safe mode)
If you want to use a different folder for documents (eg: use "Data" instead of "My Documents") click the Move... button.
Tip: create / move the folder first, then move the target. (I only say this because I tried this once, when my mind blanked, and windows wasn't happy.)Job hunting is a full time job.

You can also change the paths using the Registry Editor.
Move the folder to where you want, then go in the registry and do a search of 'My Documents', 'My Pictures', 'My Music', and 'My Videos' and change their paths to what you want.
I have all those on my D drive and it works great, lasts long time. This signature intentionally left blank.

ha, maybe registry will have to be the way to go, because right-clicking the My Music folder, its a static path, it cant be changed. there is no target, or find target like for my documents.

I used to get some bad connection ALL the time. Turns out the problem was because I had a Netgear router and a D-LINK USB stick. I bought a D-LINK router and it works fantastic. Netgear sucks.
