I am not going to be the one who buys a copy and puts it on an 800 right off. I do have my Athy 2000 with 512 I am really thinking about putting it on. The way I see it the gov't will be moving to it soon and I want to be THE Vista guy in the office! I am wanting to go to CompUSA tomorrow night and play with it at 10 PM. Yeah I also spend Thanksgiving night at Best Buy for bf deals too! Thanks for your replies.
Actually, you could force the Aero GUI on older beta builds for certain video cards. Though, upon a quick check, it appears the reg hack has been dropped since RTM.
At least I gave a couple of reasons why someone should not use it.
I'm sure he can think of more than a couple reasons not to upgrade to vista also. I personally don't think everyone should go jump out and buy it asap either. I can give you several dozen reasons all summed up in a single word. bugs. And there are several more reasons too, cost, not for just the OS but the cost of a system that can PROPERLY run it. It would be pretty useless to "upgrade" to Vista if you have to disable many of the OS' features to get it to run on your system. Your attitude is funny considerng you started a thread dedicated to Norton bashing and also considerng no one here actually bashed MS.
