Mcafee didn't complete unistall
I have a client that uninstall Mcafee security suite 2007. After the unistall links on certain web sites, popups and java don't work. I tried Mcafee's Tech Advisor but it won't load as it uses pop-ups. I have turned off IE's popup blocker and Google Toolbar. I ran CCleaner after he brought it in and also HijackThis to remove startup keys.
He is running XP SP2 with IE 7

Try uninstalling IE7, then reinstalling if it works again with IE6.
'C:\WINDOWS\ie7\spuninst\spunist.exe'
This is a hidden/system folder, so you may need to enable it's viewing for it to work. This signature intentionally left blank.

I would try another browser like Firefox just to see if it's a system issue or an IE problem.

I prefer not to be stopped in the street just because someone decided my clothes were "wrong" or my hair was "too long". I do understand and partly agree with your point, but this was too much, IMO.
Do you think this was a legitimate...
