I wouldnt expect anything in q1 08. expect it for end of year and applaud if its earlier. Their main focus is on Vista and Vista awareness.

Have you considered looking on MSDN's web site?

I wonder if it will be available like SP2 was on cd ... that was pretty neat to have as a back up if you needed to format.. instead of downloading it..

(also it was free !)

It was free..?? I had to pay to get mine, albeit only £6 (inc P&P)...

I found that it was really handy to use when rebuilding computers, so that it was less easy for hackers or viruses/virii to make their way in... Could install it before hooking it up to the internit.......

All I do is download the SP and slipstream it into my OS cd. That way you don't need to order a cd and re-installing is a cinch.

At first they were giving the SP2 disk away for free, but after a few months/weeks they stopped doing that.

Oh, and SP3 is RC now on MSDN.
