I switched to Vista x64 recently, figured out most of the things that were bugging me, but this remains...
1) I sort and find my files by date and size. I added view "date" field to a media folder, but everytime I open the folder, it takes about 1 min. to calculate the date and the green bar in the address bar moves left to right. One time would be bad enough, but it does it everytime I open the folder! It even calculates date as I scroll through the file list, and it's really SLOW! I'm tired of waiting to see the file date. My MP3 folder does not show size or date, I don't care about artist/album/genre/etc. I don't want to set these options for every folder. How can I fix this behavior, slow showing file date and fields set to show the same in all folders (I know about templates, but I don't want to go through every template setting these options)? What is the green bar doing?
