Thumbs up Nice little monitor tool

Among it's other capabilities, Wizmo from Steve Gibson at GRC.com can make a quick little tool to turn off your monitor if it's power-saving capable. Simply copy the wizmo.exe to your Windows\System folder - create a shortcut to the executable - and move the shortcut to your quicklaunch bar. You can then edit the properties of the shortcut like so: "X:\WINNT\system\wizmo.exe quiet monoff" X being the drive letter where your windows version is installed.
Instead of waiting for a screensaver or the monitor's power saving settings, you can then instantly put the monitor in a standby mode . Omit the quiet command if you like the sound it makes.

Wizmo is a pretty nifty little tool and you can create any number of seperate shortcuts to perform many different tasks.

Oops, forgot to mention the exe includes several icons you can use for your shortcuts which can relate to the shortcut's function.
    WHUT?
