never mind. I got it fixed. How do I get all the drivers to work?? I want to get the cool Cube desktop


I downloaded the ATI linux driver, but it won't open. It keeps on telling me

gedit has not been able to detect the character coding.

So Gi, how is linux so far? I'm going to put this comp on it after I upgrade to C2D. So I don't have to buy another Windows copy. Run faster, less errors, games faster?

Or do you not know any of this yet due to troubleshooting?

I like it so far, more stable and much faster than vista...the only problem is, I can't get a video driver for the x1400 video card...

in a console: sudo program

Also look at the packages in debian, synaptic should have the latest workable ATI driver ready to install.
