VISTA HOME PREMIUM 64 bit vs 32 bit

I'm going to order a new computer for video editing and web video. I want to get the 64 bit version. I've read some editorials that say stick with 32 bit for software and hardware compatibility. I am going for a system with Q6600 and dual video cards. I will probably keep this computer for at least 5 years like my current one.

Any feedback on problems with 64 bit will be appreciated.

My current system,

I ran Vista Ultimate 64-bit for a while and had no problems with it at all. Every program that I tried to install actually installed and driver support is MUCH better now than it used to be. I'd say give 64-bit a try. Also, if you plan on going for 4GB in RAM or more, you'll need the 64-bit OS to support it, so go for it

Forgot to mention, I'm now on Ubuntu 64-bit, as Vista is just too much of a memory hog. Back when I was running 2GB of RAM it took up about half that just at boot. When I moved up to 6GB of RAM it took up about 1.5-2GB of RAM at boot...Ubuntu 64-bit takes up about 300MB at boot
