advise on vista over xp

hi ok heres my problem im running vista x64 and xp on dual boot when i play my game fifa 08 on vista it runs smooth the grafics are good but when i play on xp the grafic look very poor the reson i use xp is im using a xbox 1 pad using xbcd and i can get my right stick to do the moves in xp but i cant get it to work in vista every time i run the set up utiley i get the blue screen so i download the xp hotfix for dual processer but still xp is 10 times poor than xp

any help on this how i can get it the same as vista
