New install, didn't set Admin password, won't let me log in

My buddy just reformatted his computer and stuck XP Pro on it, and only set up the Administrator account but didn't put a password on it. Now when he tries to use it, it refuses to let him just click Log In saying the password is incorrect. He never set a password.

Is there a way to fix this without reformatting? A repair install didn't do the trick.
