Recommend me a good Registry Cleaner

I need a good registry cleaner on my new computer. What program do you recommend?

    Thanks.

Which one did you use on your old computer?

    Which OS are you using?

Do you have an image of the drive to use when the cleaner cleans too much and it won't boot?

I like to use CCleaner. Not only does it clean up the registry, it will also clean your system of unwanted/unused files.

CCleaner works as good on my Vista 64-bit as it did on XP. As Atomic Rooster said, it does other good stuff as well.

I use both CrapCleaner and Regscrup XP (not at the same time). Sometimes I run one or other after I ran one of them just to see if there is anything more found. 99.9% of the time it comes up clean. The only time I do that is if I have had a virus alert.

    Lightbulb

Another vote for CrapCleaner - just uncheck the Cookies boxes in the regular file cleaning part as it wants to always remove ALL your cookies and many are useful. Let your anti-spyware deal with just the hinky cookies. The reg. cleaner is run separately. If I need anything more, I use what comes with SystemSuite . Be sure to give any reg. cleaner a couple passes thru as once it has done one cleaning, it usually can find a few more.

I also use CCleaner, actually, I need to run it.
I may pass, due to it being on a SP3 RC2 box now, and wait for a new release of SP3 to come out.
I'll also try the Regscrub program, eventually.
Besides, I mostly use Lionux regardless.

Ccleaner FTW. When removing the unwanted files though, make sure you select everything on the left hand side for a more thorough clean. Just hit "ok" for any warnings that pop up.

I just ran CCleaner and it seems to have helped. I have not ran the registry cleaner yet. When it did the scan it found very many issues. My question is a lot of the things it found are programs that I am using. Any problems with removing them? Are they just junk files that are not being used?Just wondering. Thanks

    Another convert to CCleaner here...
I've seen the light... It was green, flashy and attached to a Network Interface Card...
