Ok, this last week, my computer has been rebooting itself. I don't know why, but it has. Sunday, I was installing a game and it rebooted during the installation. So I thought I was just going to have to start the installation over again, but when the computer turned back on, it didn't go to the welcome screen. A box popped up saying that there was a system configuration error. It said:
"Your system has detected a configuration error. Please report this error to Customer Care using the phone number found in the Warranty and Support Guide that came with your PC. Unless corrected, this error will prevent your PC from operating properly. Turn off your PC by pressing and holding the Power button. After a few seconds your PC will automatically turn off. (Code Purple)"
I don't have my original Windows XP setup disk. I think I got rid of it. I borrowed a friends, but their computer isn't and HP Intel. It's a Gateway. Will the disk still work? and what should I do?
