XP install issues

Just did a fresh install of windows xp pro SP2. It takes me to my desktop and the only icon on there is the recycle bin. wth? I also cant get it to recognize my wireless card. I havent tried downloading the wireless card drivers on another machine and transferring yet because i've never had to on a clean install before. Just wondering if anyone knew what was going on...

attempting to install windows xp pro sp2 (its 32 bit but that shouldnt be a problem right?) on 50GB partition. also it doesn't shoot up any errors during the install. any help is much appreciated!

you have to put the rest of the icons on the desktop,

which ever ones you want,

just right click on them and click move to desktop,

although you have to drag IE to the desktop

XP has only the Recycle Bin in the lower right corner by default. You can change the Taskbar properties to the older type menu and that will add the other icons. Also, you can go into Display Properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop and add what you like.

You need to download all drivers for your Asus board, video card and WiFi card on another PC.
