I wouldn't worry about it. It is the update its self. Why m$ would say that I don't know.. I know, but, stupid.

I think the sp3 is a good idea and well worth the dl.

I had one problem with the beta-the ATI drivers wouldnt allow me to rotate my monitor 90 degrees so I could view webpages vertically instead of reading only about a fifth of the page, and acres of unused monitor space off to the right of the page. I havent had the time to deal with the update yet, but I intend doing so when I can.

I've heard if my system screws up and I have to reinstall windows I should have more than 600mb left, I'm assuming this to be true, or am I wrong?

What??

This might be due to a backup partition on the drive.. What happened was someone formated the entire disk which not only erased the EISA config., but the backup partition as well. This is the case for Dell. I belive Dell isn't using backup partitions anymore.
