I've been running sp3 for a weeks now, no issues, actually works out better, my hard drive crashed a few weeks ago, sp3 made it so I didn't need half a million update downloads for windows (though it doesn't include wmp10 or ie7). They say it can improve performance a bit, but I haven't noticed anything.

Been using it since late last year. Nothing much worth noting from the average daily use perspective. As thephilosophizer has pointed out, outside of a few very specific features, it is largely a rollup of previous patches. Saves on upgrade time if nothing else.

Business and especially enterprise-class customers could need further evaluation testing, but otherwise, I do not see much of a reason for the average WinXP desktop user not to deploy SP3 at this time.

Agreed, the only issue I had was finding the right uxtheme patch so I could use custom themes. Now that that is done its right as rain.

Btw, this is the one I used http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail...r/1209580756/1

Anyone got a reliable link to download SP3?

I've looked and looked on MS's home page, but that site has got to be one of the most inefficient pieces of trash I've ever gazed upon.
