| Surveillance Software Request
Hi everyone, i'm back!
I'm looking for a windows based surveillance program that will allow me to monitor numerous outdoor cameras connected via a PCI card. I've seen a few and tried a few but none offer what i'm looking for.
I would like 24/7 monitoring with the option of only recording motion detection. In addition, it is preferred that the recorded events be listed in an easy to use list for review/deletion, etc.
If you have any suggestions please let me know.
Thanks!

| Listing these out will help people to know what Not to recommend.
You need a PCI card that comes with software to do the things you mentioned. |

Lol, what you need is a professional service. There isnt a free peice of software that is going to be able to do more then show you want your viewing let alone record or set recording conditions. |

you might take a look at this blog post the guy suggests using Dorgem, its meant more for webcams and I've never heard of it so YMMV.
I don't know which cams you are using or which capture card but you might check the manuf. site for software.
might also try a sourceforge search

I've found software that does the majority of what I ask, but you have to give a little to get a little. And not once in my post did I mention that it had to be 'free'. This place used to be a lot more informative than this.
Thanks, Rich for your suggestion.
I'll keep looking for myself. |

| PC DVR 4 NET - 4 Camera Security PCI Card The Swann PC DVR-4-Net PCI Card seamlessly turns your PC into a sophisticated digital video security monitoring system. The plug and play card and software allow you to observe and record 4 cameras simultaneously or add more cards to upgrade to 16 cameras. Other benefits include remote access via the web or network, motion detection with instant email notification, audio monitoring and fast display and recording times. It's never been easier to see what's happening, from anywhere in the world. |

I've been looking at DVR CARDS for a few days. Software usually comes with the card. Some of the cards on ebay have Esunstar with them. Try welcome Esunstar Technology Co., Ltd , you can download the manual to see how it sets up & if you can figure it out. I don't know if it comes separate though. |
