| Vista Problem here, Windows Explorer has stopped working
I just installed Windows Vista, and every time i try to open anything like controll panel it tells me "Windows Explorer has stopped working" with the options to
1, check online for a solution and restart the program
or
2, Restart the program
and non of the options do anything
I tried all the automatic updates and so on, i trying to change the resolution to something highes than what it is right now, as it like like something less than 800x600

I had win XP on the system as i installed it as it was said i could and shuld do it that way, the first thing i did was to try and change the screen resolution to something higher and this problem happens when i try to use control panel or something else that is using Windows Explorer.
as i Vista got installed it also installed some hardware like the common stuff, updates and simular but this was after i had the problem, thinking maybe one of the updates might fix this issue.

You did the upgrade from XP?
I would reformat and reinstall a fresh version. I'd never recommend doing upgrades for an OS. |

I just now think I fixed it, while searching the internet I saw an issue with Firebird2controll.cpl I un unstalled firebird and now for the first time 2 sec ago i entered control panel, it is the firebird progrem witch i beleve is for Acrobat Reader.
There is also no information (as always) on www.microsoft.com about this issue |
