    I have heard some pretty distburbing things about skype. Something about it going and changing something in the bios or something critical in the operating system. I was just hoping some memebers here can give me advice on weather or not to get it.

    I've used skype for years without issue. At least, non that I can relate to skype. It's a great program IMO.

    haven't used it in a year or two, but when I did, have to agree with the others, its a great program, never had any problems (also loved the custom "ringer" feature LOL, I remember a few times Sharder & others "calling" & the Theme to the Thundercats would play for the ringer )

    anyways.

    Sound quality is far superior to anything Voice chat apps like Ventrilo & Teamspeak can provide, also has nice Text Messenging features & file transfer part, as well as the conference call features.
