Hey there, I've recently been looking into DJ software, because i want to start laptop djing as a hobby. i recently downloaded a trial version of mixmeister Express to mess around with, and have been having great fun mising my fav songs etc. however, what i'd like to know is, is mixmeister express meant just for creating mixes and cds or can it be used to dj live? what i mean is, theres only one play controls in the trial version suggesting you wouldn't be able to mix tracks through DJ headphones while at the same time playing the music live. eg i'd want to be able to have the mix i've already created playing outloud, but still be able to plug my head phones in and prepare the next bit... hope i'm making sense...? i'v had a look at other software like zulu, but this seems like you can do less with the music and seems harder to use to me. does anyone know what software (cheap but good) is best for live djing but has a similar set up to mixmeister?
any help at all about djing and good stuff to get would be good too, thanks!
