Try going into the BIOS and look for an option to set the SATA drives to IDE mode.

Thanks, I'm not actually 100% sure what the problem is it reads "To install the device driver needed to access your hard drive, insert the installation media conatining the driver files, andthen click OK.
Note: The installation media can be a floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive"
I've also tried installing XP SP2 but the install loops again and again after rebooting. |

| Neither Vista or XP will install on newly built PC
First up my problem with XP SP2 Home Edition, i get through the disk format and the system files installs before it forces a reboot and repeats the process. Then with vista I get up to choosing the install media and an error displays reading "To install the device driver needed to access your hard drive, insert the installation media conatining the driver files, andthen click OK.
Note: The installation media can be a floppy disk, CD, DVD or USB flash drive"
Thanks for any help. |

If these are new cd's/dvd's then try a different drive. |

I think I've got them merged now, so please stop creating new threads for the same issue. One thread per topic regardless of which forum. If you need it moved just PM one of the mods and we can get that handled no problem. |
