regedit

I hope this is the right place, here is what happened. I was running the program regedit there were some files on add/remove that would not delete from the list. While I was editing I saw an old file that I had deleted from my computer several mouths ago. I deleted this file, when I went into add/remove I noticed that the file that I deleted was on the list. It wasnt there before I deleted the file, anyway when I click on it there is not add or remove button. I tried useing some of those add remove clean up programs but it wasent on the list. Hope im making sense. Thanks!

What is the "key name" that you edited in the registry.

Have you done a simple restore to yesterday?

That will put the key back you removed and you can start again (With our help )

Good luck!

System Restore is fairly straight-forward, as long as it is active (which it is by default)...

Go to the above list location and you should be able to select from any available dates and/or times that the computer took a mini-backup of itself... You should try to restore to a point in time before you started playing in the registry...

Oh, and obviously backup any important data - especially anything within C:\Documents And Settings\ (presuming you're running XP)..
