Vista drag-n-drop
One of the persistant problems that I've had with Vista HP is when trying to copy multiple folders/files from one location to the other.
I open 2 windows - one scrolled to the main folder and one to the destination folder. Highlighting each folder/file to be moved with ctrl-L click and then switching to R-click drag-n-drop is when the 'fun' begins. In rare cases I'll get a Copy/Move/Etc pop-up window. Usually though other windows pop-up and rarely selecting copy gets me a msg which reveals that an entire folder (root) is being copied to the destination - sometimes this transfer announces that several Gigs are being copied!! This occurs most often while the mouse arrow is being moved through the destination folder list to the destination folder causing it to light-up.
I'm using a Logitech LX1 laser mouse and the thought has crossed my mind that this critter may be at fault. I say this because sometimes (whilst in LW) using R-click-hold and doing an multi-Object Select the bluish surround track disappears and only a part or no object gets selected. However - this has never happened in XP.
Aargh.

I always drag and drop with my left mouse button. However, if the destination folder is on the same hard drive or storage device it will treat this as a move. If the destination folder is on a separate hard drive or storage device it will treat it as a copy. I personally have never seen an issue like this in Vista and I've been using it for a while. I know this probably isn't real helpful. Just thought I would mention it.
