Windows XP Flash Drive Shortcut

Long story short, I've locked a bunch of stuff on our computer, such as My Computer access.

Is there a way to make a shortcut to g: drive even though there isn't anything there yet?

When my Girlfriend's Daughter plugs in her mp3 player it shows up as g. I'd like an easy way for her to get to it.

Right-click the G drive icon in My Computer and drag it to the desktop. When you let go, you will see a menu of selections. Select "Create Shortcut here".
