No, they didn't only change explorer for 7. Many other things were changed. |

| Well, I suppose I many have been a bit impatient. After 5 minutes or so I would retry. I will give it a shot again and let it do its thing while I play on my PS3 or something. |

it seems that sometimes win 7 don't assign a drive letter to extended partitions, so if you would be so kind as to go to (control panal) admin tools,
computer management, disk management, you will see your XP partition, right click on it and assign a drive letter and waaa laaaa your XP partition will show up like magic, thank you very much please stop by again, whaaaaaa

Ok, got it installed! So far, I am really liking it! I never used Vista, so can not compare the two, but compared to XP..wow!
It does use a lot of memory. I have installed most of the programs I had running on XP startup and am using about 256MB more memory to run them. Guess that is the amount needed to run the themes and addition programs with Windows 7. Runs very smooth though. I am using the 64bit version and I have 4gigs of ram. I scored a 5.4 on the performance chart. My 7800GT scored the lowest of all of my hardware.

Everything works as it should. But have yet to install any games. | I had to uninstall the nvidia drivers and use the drivers Windows finds for it. I could not play a couple of games using those drivers. I have not tried any other nvidia drivers yet, other than the 181.20 which didn't work so well. |

What GPU are you running?
In my case, I'd say my GPU is a bit different. The GX2 always runs better on odd drivers then other GPU's. But I could have sworn 2Monsters told me yesterday he had his 8800gts(g92) going on the same drivers also.
EDIT: just saw you said 7800gt above.
maybe it's because you have a older generation of GPU?? |
