I think I will try it, but I don't want to put it on my main machine unless I know it can see my RAID array. |

I actually deleted my vista partition for it..
And one of the cool things I've found about it, is they have a quick shut off for UAC!! |

Got mines this morning. This hopefully will work out well. I was just about to buy another copy of xp for my main rig that iam upgrading. I dled a copy of 32bit and 64 bit. Figured it would save me some money. I have heard some good things already about it , so i have to see for myself.

It does look pretty nice. I only have it installed in a virtual machine though (I've got too much important stuff installed and moving that to a new install would take too much work).
As a side note, anyone try using Creative Audigy cards on Win7 yet? That's something else I would need support for before I could use it. |

I've had this installed a couple days now with only 1 issue. I tried to upgrade my video drivers and got a BSOD...not too worried about that, though...the default windows drivers seem to be working fine...I just can't customize settings very much.
IMO, this is what Vista should have been when it released. What's sad is that this is a beta and it's already more stable than Vista probably will ever be. Good stuff, enjoy

Iam going straight guinea pig with this since i have a brand new wd 6400aaks going in the main rig. So its gonna be a real beta test for sure.
Seems from what i have seen, or read is that the graphics side of windows7 seems to be doing alright.
except for what FP says |

I installed the new geforce 185 drivers, and they are working. But my issue so far is IDK if I'm in SLI, or just running in single GPU mode, or what.
I think I'm gonna try the 181.20's, see if that helps.
Side note, with 4 gigs of RAM installed, it's showing I'm only using a little over a gig, with hardly anything running. So it still likes it's RAM.
Mouse gestures FTW!!
One last thing.
I did the performance rating, just to see what it looked like. I only got a 2.9 on my system. It said your rating was you lowest score out of the different tests I guess. And with the 640Gb HDD, it only scored 2.9!
I'm guessing MS thinks SSD are gonna big with this OS??

181.20 drivers are good for me.
Everything works as it should. But have yet to install any games. |
