64bit version is out?
I'm posting from it now.
Team Fortress 2, Crysis, Grid, and COD:4 all work great in SLI and single GPU mode. |

Been trying it over the weekend, IMO looks and feels like Vista SE or as FP said what Vista should have been on release. It still seems to use more resources than XP, even though most sites I've seen say otherwise .

Desktop with only FF and task manager open, damn thing is sucking up the resources. I'm doing a fresh install tomorrow to see if that helps
edit: added a quick look at the new taskbar features minus the larger default icons. I couldn't stand that and had to shrink them. The lines in the BG are from AERO peek more info on the taskbar can be found here Engineering Windows 7 : The Windows 7 Taskbar
edit2: the 3rd pic should show the new mouse over "jump list" and the 4th is the new windows paint, which just blew me away
BTW: if you can't tell I don't use the gadgets that replace the Vista sidebar, don't use that either. And I have a very clean desktop w/o icons. Had to shrink those too, hate the "icons for the blind" look.

I just found the new paint while messing with these pics..
I was like, WTH!?
I like some of the new perks. Have you noticed when you drag a window up to the top center of the screen, it automatically goes full screen. Then when you click on the window border again, it down sizes on its own.
Also, the backgrounds changing own their own is a nice touch too IMO.
But out of 4gigs of RAM installed, it says I only have 1510MB free. And that's with FF, 3x folding, Dropbox, Steam, widgets, AVG going. |

| let's put that in context. when you boot fresh, how much RAM is eaten by just the Win7 system?
