On boot I end up with the system using about 580 MB of RAM.

Anyone set up a dual-boot with either XP or Vista? Was it pretty straightforward or did you run into issues?

Been trying to past two days to download it.

When they finally put up a new message saying that the Beta download is working agian, guess what, it doesn't work! It gives you a 404 page not found message and then redirects you to a search page.

Got it. I'll install it on my Celeron 2.4G spare machine. I want to dual-boot it on my kids AMD 6000 but they may balk on that.

What are you using to burn it to a DVD?

I honestly didn't see much difference, boot times seem to be about the same, everything else seemed relatively unchanged. I'm going to do fresh installs of both later this week and actually check the numbers just to see.

Dual booting Vista and W7 was pretty straightforward AFAIK they use the same bootloader so it makes it easy.

Check the MD5 sum of your download and compare it to what Microsoft lists the MD5 sum of the file you downloaded.
