On boot I end up with the system using about 580 MB of RAM.

heh, its faster than vista! im running the 32 bit version now. aero is awesome and goes great with the waterfall background. it took a full day to download with dsl though. im busy now. will post screenies later. thanks for the free OS m$ LOL |

Anyone set up a dual-boot with either XP or Vista? Was it pretty straightforward or did you run into issues? |

i dual-booted it with XP. no issues! i split a 120 gig partition in half. same bcd as vista. so yeah, its straight-forward =D |

Been trying to past two days to download it.
When they finally put up a new message saying that the Beta download is working agian, guess what, it doesn't work! It gives you a 404 page not found message and then redirects you to a search page.

Got it. I'll install it on my Celeron 2.4G spare machine. I want to dual-boot it on my kids AMD 6000 but they may balk on that.

I downloaded it on Saturday and have yet to successfully burn it to a DVD, I've made four coasters right noew and am holding off on the fifth until I can troubleshoot it out. Any Ideas??

I'm going to do fresh installs of both later this week and actually check the numbers just to see. Quote:

/ald | Check the MD5 sum of your download and compare it to what Microsoft lists the MD5 sum of the file you downloaded. |
