| Can't Scroll In Any Application
My wife's machine is stuffed. You can't scroll in any application. IE, Firefox, Windows Explorer, Word, nothing. It just shakes and stutters and if you do get it down, it pops right back to the top. It all started with her getting that damn "Antivirus 2009" crud (a couple of times). Did the scans with Malwarebytes, removed the baddies. Scanned and cleaned up with CCleaner, installed new drivers, you name it. Ran sfc /scannow with no effect. I'm stumped. . .

Are you using the mousewheel to scroll, or another method?

XP SP3. It's not the mouse. Same thing happens when you use the Page Up/Down keys.
As I was typing this, I went and checked her computer. Guess what? The darn thing works just fine now. Don't ask me why, but it does. |

It wasn't the video drivers either. Uninstalled, cleaned, then installed newest version. She has the newest version of AVG running since it's release. Goofy machine. |
