Ive downloaded a 64bit copy of my Win7 beta and was planning to use it as a temporary OS until it came out, so i downloaded it from the Microsoft Site.
Later, i realized i needed a product key or i couldnt run it?
So i got my 64 bit product key, but it was seperate from the download of the beta
Im oging to install it on my system when im done building (a few weeks).
Can it still run you think? |

When you downloaded the OS, the website had the key posted. If you have a valid windows 7 key you shouldnt have any problems with it |

It'll stop working on August 1st...And will require a format to get it off so you can install the final release that is due out before the end of the year.

Hey everyone, Jeff here with the Windows Outreach Team. @t3ckn0t0x1n- The Beta needs to be activated within 30 days of downloading or its functionality will be limited. The product key you received will work regardless of whether or not it was the one you received when you originally downloaded the Beta or if you received it later. Cheers! |

Hey t3.... be forewarned there are some hardware/software compatibility issues with Win7 x64. Bluetooth keyboard and mice for a couple... I also experienced major problems in a Digital Audio Workstation app. I gave up and reformatted, then had to use EasyBCD to get rid of the bootloader! It's pretty to look at, but I see no reason to change from my rock solid XP Pro x64
