Hey, I got a simple job - basically reinstalling the OS on an old P4 ACER and sticking in more ram and what not. They gave me the OS recovery disks and all. Problem is, when I try to boot from the OS disk it keeps telling me that the hard drive is fully recovered and does not give me a single other option (as soon as I boot to the CD drive it takes me straight to that screen, no questions). So I thought, maybe if I wiped out the hard drive of its data, the recovery disk would work... Wrong.. Does the exact same thing. Annoying. I'm going to call up ACER tomorrow when the support centre is open, I dunno if they would give me a new OS CD since this computer is like 5 years old though. And I don't want to have to buy them a new one.
