My Tripple play Backpack CD-rewrter does not work with norton ghost 2002 boot disk

I tried installing my backpack cd-rewriter to the LPT port and created a boot disk with cdrw support. Why don't it recognize the backpack? Please help...

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but the LPT connection support on the Norton Ghost boot disk is for peer to peer connection method between 2 systems, not for parallel port interface external drives...

That's sounds correct, but I went into the Backpack web site for my tripple play cd-rewriter 's support site to find more info on using this external cd-rewriter with Norton ghost. I followed the instructions to add the drivers but, I just like to know if anyone have got this hookup to work and if they can tell me how they did it.
