Max usable memory?
I know that Win98se has a max usable memory limit of (I think) 512 meg or so- please correct me- so what is XP Pro's max? At what point does dropping another memory chip in prove pointless? (even though it sees the memory I'm saying using it to it's full potential)My wife is a hottie.

Looks like XP has a maximum of 4GB.

Er, does that mean that 512 is the max? That's clear as Guinness. My wife is a hottie.

No, it means that 512 Megs is the max _unless_ you edit System.ini to put a cap on the size of the VCache. With this tweak in place, Win9x can address up to 2 Gigs of physical memory (although the 9x line has rather poor memory management, and apparently, strange things start happening when you get to around 1.5 Gigs).

XP is like 2k. Throw all memory you can afford at it.
