XP Pro x64 Taskbar and Quick Launch

For the life of me, I can't figure this one out.... the height of the bar has doubled, and I no longer can reduce the size of the Quick Launch area. This happened once years before, but I can't seem to get it back to normal.

Any help appreciated... If you look at the bottom of the screenshot, you can see the doubled height.

BTW, I tried hovering the mouse over a blank section and used the up/down arrows... It will grow, but not shrink

Did you right click on the task bar and UNlock it so you can drag it down?

Argh, I wish I could help. Hmm...

Have you tried right clicking the taskbar, going to properties, and unchecking your "Show quick launch" option? If so, did it do anything?

You need to drag the open program (FF) up to the level of the quick launch bar

I didn't think that the task pane has EVER allowed dragging within it... Unless it's the quick launch bar.

When I do that it returns to it's normal size...

It stays the doubled size without FF or any other windows open... I only had FF open so I could post the sceenshot without having to exit the browser.

I should have explained better, what you have is a full width quick launch bar. Look next to the FF program box you see the divider bar. Drag that up to the left or right off the quick launch and it should go back to a single line. Then you'll probab;y have to adjust the height.

Ah, Richeem explained it. I knew there's a way to divide the quick launch bar, but it left my mind. Props to ya Rich.
