Trouble with publishing Access97 report in MS Word 2003
I have built a databse in Access97 that consists of records containing info from Candidate resumes. Some of the info from each resume record is printed to a 3x5 index card for filing - this used to be done in Word and merged - the next time cards were to be printed you deleted the records from the "main" document to save room and input the new info and print. I used the "Publish" feature from Access based on the table - worked great. Sooo... I set up a control on the "Reports switchboard" that had a hyperlink to link me to the document in Word used to publish the file cards. It took me to the doc ok, but the "Merge" toolbar was greyed out and I could not do what I hoped. It probably won't pick up the new records in the table either. I really don't want to set up this report every time - is there any way around this and am I doing this incorrectly? The resumes received are input to the database and printed each week.
