Major Issues
Running: XP
I've been having shutdown issues lately. I was told to try disabling System Services in Msconfig so I did. Suddenly my comp. worked. But Now I want to narrow it down to 1 service. I run msconfig but under services there are only 3 entries for network services. I try to boot into regular Windows XP by choosing Normal boot but it just boot back into No Services mode. Any Ideas??? I'm Desperate

First, go back and re-enable the services you disabled.
Next, it sounds like you have an application or service stalling or locking operations to certain registry keys, which is a common Windows problem. If that is the case, you can try installing Microsoft's "User Profile Hive Cleanup Service" to help resolve the issue.

As I said earlier, when I went into the services tab, only 3 (enabled) services were there. There was nothing else, enabled or disabled.
